Drum Students (6 years old and up) are not required to have a drum set at home, but can use ours in class. Student will learn basic drum notation and rhythm, how to count beats in different time signatures, various styles and techniques, while playing along to popular pieces. We will work on gaining coordination of all 4 limbs, first working separately then putting them together. Genres include: Rock, Pop, Reggae, Dance, HipHop, R&B, etc. Playing along with others is important, so we will expose your young drummer to a band setting when ready! Get ready to rock! Let us suggest our favorite local music shops to purchase your first drum set!

Percussion and the basics of rhythm are introduced to the young ones. Included in our curriculum, is learning songs with our chromatic set of rainbow tubes called BOOMWHACKERS®! Young students will learn the color-coded Solfeggio system using simple melodic, harmonic and rhythmic patterns, all while having fun! Suggested ages 4-6 yrs as an intro to drums and piano. A great way to learn Solfeggio, with siblings, as a group or solo!
