STUDENTS – FOUR AND FIVE YEARS OLD (private 30-min lessons)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10-Lesson Discount Package<\/strong> to be used up within one quarter (12-13 calendar weeks) 10 x $30\/half hour = $300. 5-Lesson Package<\/strong>: 5 x $35\/half hour = $175. Single Lesson<\/strong>: $40\/half hour. (Parent or guardian must be present (on the premises) for entire lesson). Payment is due before first lesson of every 5-lesson or 10-lesson package.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/em>STUDENTS – SIX YEARS OLD THRU ADULT (private 60-min lessons)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10-Lesson Discount Package<\/strong> to be used up within one quarter (12-13 calendar weeks) 10 x $50\/hr = $500. 5-Lesson Package<\/strong>: 5 x $55\/hr = $275. Single Lesson<\/strong>: $60\/hr. Payment is due before first lesson of every 5-lesson or 10-lesson package.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Lessons in the studio<\/strong> (30 to 60-minute lessons) <\/em>scheduled Monday thru Friday 4pm – 8pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm, Sunday 12 – 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons in your home:<\/strong> (60-minute lesson minimum)<\/em> Add $10 more per lesson if local, $20 per lesson if further. Scheduled Monday thru Sunday Noon to 8pm.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Registration<\/strong> is preferably done in person at the studio (unless disabled student) to sign agreement, make payment, order\/purchase books, receive free orientation lesson.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Quarterly Payments<\/strong> are due in full before the start of the quarter<\/span> to receive discount. This ensures your weekly time slot and ensures credit towards rescheduling make-up lessons (you must call 24 hrs in advance).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Family Discounts: <\/strong>We do not offer discounts for families<\/span> enrolled in our program. However, once first payment is made, we do offer a<\/span> 30-day grace period<\/span> for second family member’s 10-lesson package and offer a<\/span> 2-week grace period<\/span> for second family member’s 5-lesson package. As stated above, payment is due before first lesson of every 5-lesson or 10-lesson package for first family member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends\/Guests\/Visitors<\/strong> of student may join regularly scheduled class at $10 per child.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Cancellations <\/strong>must be made 24 hours in advance<\/span> to receive credit towards a makeup lesson, unless illness\/emergency.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Make-up Lessons:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Although we offer alternative time slots<\/span>, canceling your weekly lessons is not encouraged. Please keep in mind we cannot guarantee our schedule will accommodate you. Those who do not call 24 hours in advance to cancel, may not receive a make-up. Make-up lessons do not roll over into the next quarter<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Refunds<\/strong>: NewYorkMiamiPiano\/DoReMi Music Program does not have a refund policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Music Books and Supplies <\/strong>may be purchased at the studio (approx $25) at time of registration. Included is a complimentary beginner packet. We can also place orders for you\/with you online throughout the school year as student progresses.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

K-8 After-School Pick-up \/ Drop-off: $5-10 <\/strong>(depends on location).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Piano Students<\/strong> (4 years old and up)<\/em> must have a keyboard or piano to practice on at home. We can help you find one appropriate to your \/ your child’s level and personals needs. Beginner keyboards start around $100 in most stores and online.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Ukulele Students <\/strong>(6 years old and up)<\/em> must have a ukulele to practice on at home and can use ours in class. Let us suggest our favorite local music shops to purchase your first ukulele! Quality Ukes may start at $100 in stores and online.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Guitar Students <\/strong>(8 years old and up)<\/em> must have a guitar to practice on at home and can use ours in class. We have acoustic and electric! Let us suggest our favorite local music shops to purchase your first guitar! Any quality acoustic beginner guitar may start around $100 in most stores and online.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Bass Students <\/strong>(10 years old and up)<\/em> suggested for registered guitar students and\/or adult student. Student can use our bass at studio and can practice with a guitar or keyboard to learn bass lines at anytime (will discuss). Let us suggest our favorite local music shops to purchase your first bass! Size and price will vary. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Voice, Music Theory and Ear Training<\/strong> <\/strong>(12 years old and up)<\/em> is incorporated into every piano\/guitar\/ukulele lesson<\/span>, and may also be studied separately. This will be determined at time of orientation\/registration (vocal audition not required but helpful to determine level and approach).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Four and Five year olds: <\/strong>(weekly 30-min lessons on piano)<\/em> <\/strong>Each student will receive individual attention on piano for 30 minutes. The lesson will focus on training the young student’s ear as well as developing coordination; first through clapping rhythmic patterns and reciting syllables, then through mimicking melodic phrases, developing his\/her manual dexterity while discovering his or her new singing voice. Sparking an interest in music is key at this stage, no reading or writing assignments will be given. Parent or guardian must be present during entire lesson and may be asked to participate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

Six year olds to Adults:<\/strong> <\/strong>(weekly 60-min lessons on any instrument)<\/em> <\/strong>Each student will receive individual attention on his or her instrument for a full 60 minutes. At this point, reading and writing music is introduced to younger students and beginners. All students will receive written homework assignments with an integrative and comprehensive approach to music theory, as well as being given scales and exercises for daily practice. Students will learn selected songs appropriate for their level. Various styles of music and artistic influences will be covered from classical to contemporary. Lessons will also cover ear-training and sight-reading. Students are expected to practice and complete homework on time. All children are encouraged to perform at the annual spring recital.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Recital Fees:<\/strong> $100 per student, due 30 days in advance of recital date (both subject to change). As needed, this fee may go towards rehearsals, rental space, AV services, assistants, supplies, printing costs. Recitals are always in June, time and place to be announced.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
